Summary:

The aim of the module "Databases" is to learn the structured query language (SQL) as the standard language for accessing relation databases. After completion of this module, the students will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of using SQL to get and manipulate data in different modern database management systems. 

The learning outcomes of the module are the following:

  • learning SQL concepts and syntax to write queries to retrieve data;
  • creating database structure and filling it using SQL statements;
  • learning professional English vocabulary including the terminology in the database field.
